Tata Electronic project at DholeraSIR is on Full Swing .To construct the fab in the Dholera Special Investment Region, Tata Electronics has teamed up with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, a leading chip manufacturer in Taiwan.
- Tata Electronics Partnership: Tata Electronics has partnered with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) from Taiwan to build an $11-billion semiconductor fabrication facility in the Dholera Special Investment Region, Gujarat.
- Employee Training in Taiwan: Tata Electronics has begun training employees in Taiwan, with more batches expected to join starting in October. Initial training includes Indian nationals currently residing in Taiwan.
- Training Capacity: Around 200 employees will initially be trained by PSMC in specialized semiconductor manufacturing skills, with plans to train thousands more.
- Technology Synergy: PSMC brings advanced semiconductor technology, while Tata Group offers significant IT expertise, making the partnership a strong fit for high-value manufacturing.
- Government Support: The Indian government is committed to facilitating the project with necessary regulatory approvals, including visas for training purposes.
